I am Atlas.

I carry the world on my shoulders.
I am strong.
I can move mountains with my will.
I have no fear.
I carry the world.

I wither away under the weight.
I am afraid.
I carry the world.

I am Atlas.

I carry the world on my shoulders.
I refuse to crumble.
I am support.
I am proud.
I carry the world.

I am Atlas.

I have crumbled.
I need support.
I am ashamed.
I carry the world.

I stand alone.
I stand strong.
I do not fall.

But who will carry me?
For everyone who takes the burdens of others upon themselves.  For everyone who holds others up.  For everyone who finds themselves being someone's rock.  For everyone who, at times, feels like Atlas.  May you find someone to be YOUR Atlas.  Someone to hold you up.  Someone who accepts you when you are weak.  Someone who knows you're not quite as strong as you seem.  Someone to share your burden of the world.

I like this piece a lot Annamae. It represents so much. Especially coupled with your description, I can truly relate to it.
