Villainous Halloween

Now... some of you may recognize the King of Nightmares here, Pitch Black.  I am beyond happy with how he turned out!  As this is the third time I've drawn him and he's finally come out decent - MORE than decent!  He came out pretty freaking awesome!  Granted, the two previous drawings were doodles done with no references, but still!  Now, I know that he doesn't have eyebrows, but when he's leering at people his brow becomes more pronounced, so the line went in.  I could have made it thinner, but oh well, too late now.  But aside from that I have discovered the secret behind his eyes!  You know how in the movie they sometimes look gold and sometimes gray?  Well, that's because they're gold mainly, but with a ring of gray on the outer edge of the iris.  The lighting in the different scenes makes one or the other stand out more like when a shirt will bring out your eyes.  BAM! 

I should now probably introduce the lovely lady next to the Nightmare King.  This is Pandora.  Or, at least, my take on her.  She's my villain for Frost and Stories (in which Pitch will be redeemed eventually).  Now, she's gonna make her grand entrance later in the story, so I'm not gonna say too much about her, but I will say this, she's far worse than Pitch.  To the point where he's actually scared of her - for good reason.  Her scheme is going to be introduced in the next chapter to be unleashed so get excited for that   But she controls Fearlings primarily, but Nightmares as well, albeit in a different manner than Pitch.  I am sinfully proud of that hand (you know the one) and I will not apologize for that pride.  Nope, not at all. 

So... those Nightmares took a while to create, let me tell you.  I was originally going to create the grain with colored pencils, but decided to ink it in... which took for effing ever and killed my hand.  But it was so worth it.  Look at them!!  They're such beautiful little Nightmares!  And, I know, the fearlings are a little too cute, but this is how I think of them   Anywhosit, this my lovelies, is what I've been working on for the past month^^  Actually, since I finished the first one
